Editorial leadership
Journal editorial leadership is responsible for scope, scientific standards, peer-review oversight and editorial decisions. Subject-area editors and reviewers contribute independent expertise appropriate to each manuscript.
Publishing governance
AHFE International provides the publishing and platform infrastructure that supports submission, review, communication, production and publication while maintaining clear separation between operational support and scientific judgment.
Accountability
Editorial decisions are expected to be evidence-based, consistent with journal policy and documented within the submission workflow. Questions about governance or editorial process may be directed to the journal administration through the contact page.
Responsibilities of handling editors
An editor should assess scholarly fit, manage conflicts, select suitably qualified expertise, weigh review evidence and explain the basis of decisions. Administrative staff can facilitate communication and records management but should not substitute for independent scientific evaluation.
Editorial Board service
Board members contribute subject-area guidance and help maintain standards across AHFE research communities. Individual roles should be accurately described; service on a board does not imply endorsement of every article or guarantee of a favorable decision.
