Services

Collaboration and indexation

Responsible discovery depends on accurate metadata, persistent identifiers and transparent relationships with scholarly services.

01

Discoverability

AHFE aims to publish complete, accurate metadata that supports indexing, citation, linking and long-term scholarly discovery.

02

Indexing claims

The journal will identify indexing or abstracting services only when inclusion has been formally confirmed. Applications, evaluations or future aspirations should not be presented as completed indexation.

03

Publishing infrastructure

Persistent identifiers, structured metadata and interoperability with trusted scholarly services are important parts of the journal technology roadmap.

04

Metadata essentials

Accurate titles, author records, abstracts, affiliations, keywords and reference information help readers discover and cite an article. Corrections should be made consistently in the published article and applicable metadata feeds.

05

Verification before an indexing claim

Listing a database as an aspiration or a pending application is not equivalent to confirmed coverage. Authors should consult a database’s own source record for current inclusion and should distinguish AHFE proceedings coverage from journal coverage.
